Multipurpose Facility

The current Livestock Barn, built in the mid-1920’s, is on the verge of being condemned.  Our goal is the raise enough money to erect a new multipurpose facility. The proposed Multipurpose Building would sit in the footprint of the existing barn.

We are very excited about the opportunities the proposed Multipurpose Facility will provide to the Canby area and to Clackamas County.

The new building, measuring approximately 47,000 square feet, has been designed with:

• A multifunctional clear-span interior which includes a kitchen, concessions, dining area, and restrooms with shower facilities;
• 5 large roll-up doors, allowing direct access for large vehicles, and increasing ventilation during warm seasons;
• Interior storage space for the fairgrounds, regular facility renters, and more importantly, disaster relief supplies for emergency management.

The Multipurpose Building will provide increased revenue through its expanded capacity and flexibility. This facility will be used for a variety of events, including: Livestock shows, Auto swap meets, Dog shows, Flea markets, Trade Shows, Auctions, Community events, and various Conferences.

With its expanded capacity, the new building will be designated as an Emergency Shelter for Clackamas County, providing a facility for people to seek shelter, food, water and protection in times of disaster.

What can be donated?

Quality donations in all valules are needed (New Items Only Please)

Entertainment: Fishing trips, golf packages, brunches, dinners, tickets to sporting events, children's toys, vactions homes, gift baskets.

Services: Auto care, landscaping, lessons

Materials: Furniture, computers, jewelry, televisions, gardening and sporting equipment, trees, handcrafted items.

Donation deadline for acknowledgement in the Auction Catalog will be April 15, 2008.

Donations are tax deductible. Our Improvement Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
